Ellen Daly is an acclaimed, versatile, and decorated violinist / fiddler in Toronto. She has performed at countless luxury events, weddings, and venues - from small, intimate gatherings to large crowds exceeding 2500 guests.
Some of the more popular venues and events in Toronto include: 1 Hotel, Casa Loma, Toronto Beach Club, Rebel, A Bridgerton Experience (The Queen's Ball), Taylor Swift Dance Party, and much more. She has played with numerous groups, playing any genres required, including Folk, Country, Rock, Covers, Traditional/Celtic, Electronic/DJ, Bluegrass, and Jazz.
In 2019, Ellen spent seven months with a residency at Raglan Road Irish Pub at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, Florida. There, she performed daily in the House Band, playing Celtic music and covers. She has also played alongside many bands during her time in Nashville, TN at venues such as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Rippy's, and The Blue Bar.
In addition to her years of performing, Ellen is an active recording artist, having recorded a variety of genres for many artists. She also began composing at 16, and some of these compositions have been featured in her performances - she scored and performed her work for the 2011 play Unity (1918), for which she also received the Cappie Award for Creativity/Musicianship. As well, Ellen studied music during her time at Concordia University, and was a 1st violin with the Ottawa Junior Youth Orchestra.
Ellen has spent more than a decade traveling and participating in countless violin/fiddle competitions across Canada, the US, and Ireland. During these competitions, her recognitions include: winner of the Canadian Open Old Time Junior Fiddle Championship at the age of 18, five-time Vankleek Hill Fiddle Champion, and the Under 16 Eastern North American Irish Fiddle Champion in 2008.
